Artist Statement:

My work lives between imagination and observation. I’m inspired by the things around me—plants, animals, and everyday moments—and I reimagine them in colorful, whimsical ways that don’t always follow reality. I love illustration because it lets me add humor and character to what I see, while abstract elements give space for emotion and curiosity to take over.

As I work through my BFA in Studio Art at Texas State University, I’m learning the foundational skills that help me better understand composition, color, and form—tools that strengthen my natural eye for observation and creativity. Each piece becomes a balance between structure and play, where imagination leads the way.
